About this Partner

Independent Vacations - You can enjoy the security of travelling with a large, established tour company yet still have the flexibility of an independent travel itinerary. A Brewster vacation package has all the convenience of an escorted tour, yet our guests are entirely independent and free to discover the Canada of their dreams. Brewster's Independent Vacations offer the best of both worlds!

Learning Isn’t Just for Kids!
Who would have thought that a couple of boy’s 12 and 10 years old, back in 1892 would foresee a demand for adult learning vacations in the 21st century?

The Brewster legacy began over 110 years ago when visitors were safely guided on horseback to wondrous and secret places that are now protected national parks. The two Brewster brothers, Bill and Jim, recognized that just taking people to remarkable locations wasn’t enough. They needed to share its secrets and educate guests in the hope that they would gain a far deeper sense of its grandeur. It wasn’t just a sightseeing outing; it was an enhanced experience. This remains the cornerstone of our business today.

"The foundation of our motorcoach product is the interpretive aspect of touring in the Canadian Rockies," says Jim Fraser, Brewster’s vice president of planning and marketing. Brewster’s driver/guides take extensive training in the natural and human history of the Canadian West, but their enthusiasm for the wildlife, the people, and the mountain environment goes far deeper. As mountain climbers, skiers and naturalists – they’ve gained a profound understanding of the west. They love this land and its shows in their enthusiasm to share their understanding of its life and lore with Brewster passengers.

A visitor from the U.K. wrote: "Our driver/guide’s knowledge of Jasper and Banff was outstanding. He also seemed to make wildlife appear as if he had ordered them. Unbelievable!"
